Aaron McGuinness

I am a psychotherapist offering both in-person and online sessions. My approach to therapy involves both short-term, typically consisting of twelve sessions, and open-ended long-term work. I believe that many clients seek to gain a deeper understanding of their emotions, feelings, and behavioural patterns.

In my perspective, psychotherapy is a means to achieve this understanding, prioritising it over diagnosis. I see therapy as a co-created space where the client and therapist work together, acknowledging that there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Each client brings their unique perspective and life experiences, and I customise my approach to address their individual needs.

I believe past experiences inform our emotions in the present, and psychotherapy can help understand our responses in the here and now.
